Problem: After many years of growth, association losing members for past 3 years. Dramatic impact of health care reform and structural changes in US health care delivery indicated this was a strategic issue as well as a service performance problem.

Action: Developed an entirely new business strategy and re-positioned the association to be more relevant in the face of the dramatic changes happening in US healthcare delivery. New vision and expanded member targeting recommended; even a freshening of the association name. Following analysis of member base and customer research, developed new plan focused on seven strategic imperatives. For each strategy, measurable goals, specific tactics, program champions and clear due dates set.

Results: New plan accepted by board of directors and now being implemented for 2014 launch. “Dennis Roy provided outstanding leadership and guidance to our strategic planning process. Not only was he able to help us navigate through key considerations during a turbulent time for our industry but his distinct methodology kept us focused and on-track for the duration of our project.
